What is the European
Advocacy Academy?
The European Advocacy Academy (EAA) is a semi-annual, international, political training event. Its aim is to help relevant stakeholders learn about and better understand the European dimensions of developments affecting the areas of freedom, family, and life.
The EAA is the only programme of its kind, providing both substantive formation on critical issues and practical training to help leaders develop the skills they need to increase their influence.
Each EAA training programme has a specific focus. These may include effective campaigning, communications, the functioning of the European Union, policymaking, etc.

I am so encouraged by the terrific quality of the people who are attending. These are leaders and activists working in their respective countries to advance pro family policies. It is great to spend time with fellow conservatives and exchange ideas and best practices.
Rozalia Kielmans-Ratynska, Poland
The EAA is needed but we can not only learn communications skills here, but first of all this is the best chance to build a network with like-minded people and establish a big movement in Europe to defend pro-life and pro-family values.
Christel Lamère
Ngnambi, Belgium
I believe that we can be positive agents for a change in our society. The matters of freedom, family and life are fundamental, foundational for that. I am really happy to find a place where people can meet, exchange, learn and be equipped just to do that.

The Academy has had a great impact [on me] because now i have the opportunity to connect with many people from different countries and learn about issues that they face in their own countries – and also understand that what is happening in my country it is not something particular but is happening elsehere.
Vasna Radeka, Serbia
I got a lot of information and [aquired] knowledge to enter into public sphere in my country… with more confidence.
Norberto Dominguez Robles, Spain
The best part of the European Advocacy Academy is undoubtedly being with people from 17 different European countries that work for the same cause and the same values. You can connect, share ideas, and work together!

The EAA taught me how to communicate on life, family, and freedom in a more coherent way. It was also a great networking opportunity with people who work in the same field. The most important part for me was media training.
Sara Portelli, Malta
The EAA is much needed because it instils the right values, equips leaders to take our message to the public, and brings together relevant stakeholders who are supporting each other in their work! For me, two things were important: having support from other like-minded people and, second, networking, meeting, and connecting. It was a truly wonderful experience!
Antonio Pimenta de Brito, Portugal
The EAA is very important because it brings together people with different backgrounds who all want to participate in the public debate about life, family and freedom. It is great that we can come together and share our specific experiences. It is also important to have the right tools – in order to be a voice in our society and have specific ways of engaging with the media.
